Termination list

By Saad, practising automation engineer · Updated 2026-09-25

A document listing every terminal connection in a JB or cabinet, with wire numbers and destinations.

Commissioning uses the list, not the P&ID. Each row is one signal: loop tag, signal type, JB name and terminals, marshalling cabinet, strip, terminals, and wire number.

A termination diagram is the same data drawn on the loop sheet. Search queries for “termination diagrams” and “termination list” should land here and on the termination-lists pillar — SchematicForge issues both from the IO list.

Worked row: PT-1001, AI, JB-01, terminals 1–2, MC-01 S-1 terminals 11–12, wire 1-11. The free Excel template is ungated; the project list is generated after you upload the IO list.

SchematicForge uses this term in generated loop diagrams, the Loop Register, and termination lists.
